***Giveaway now closed - thank you!***
Today is my one-year anniversary of blogging in this space (although I did blog before in my previous incarnation, but that was a loooong time ago). I have been overwhelmed by the incredible sense of community and the many friends (both real and virtual) that I have made. Writing is so important to me, even though this may not be immediately apparent due to the huge number of infantile double entendres. And when I get to write about stuff I have made? Well, I couldn't be happier. Not least because it means that I have made stuff to write about.
So many fantastic things have happened this year – joining the LMQG, going to the Fat Quarterly Retreat, taking part in swaps and bees, helping to make charity quilts, hosting the pervalong, tagging along to Market with Annie (and being awestruck), and even more excitingly heading off to Quiltcon to see my work hanging in a show. Now that is what I call a pretty good year.

ReplyDeletei would buy Kona solids.. its almost impossible to buy in Denmark and i have to buy in UK or US every time. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary! You are an essential part of our bloggy world. And in regards to wanting most of Annie's stock - I need/want/must have pearl bracelets. The stack is just too beautiful to resist.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary! Sounds like a fab year. Well, the choices at TVH, where do I start? Maybe some yardage of Architextures Scribble Notes, some gorgeous Essex Linen, or some of those fabulous RB chevrons, I shouldn't have looked, it's dangerous, I'm too week to resist!!! : ).
ReplyDeleteHappy Blog Anniversary. I always enjoy reading your blog and look forward to reading about your sewing in the coming year. TVH is full of beautiful fabric and I would have to spend many hours making my decision on what to buy! Di x
ReplyDeleteHappy blogiversary my dear friend!! I would get more of the white pearl bracelets - I have a real thing for white on white at the moment :) And no that is not what you are thinking-- fnar fnarr!

ReplyDeleteGood grief I hate autocorrect, removed last comment, due to bad proof reading! I meant to say, happy anniversary, my selection would be Lecien dots stack
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo happy anniversary..... I NEED some peral bracelets - so that's where the vouchers would go!!! xxx
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your blog anniversary! I am in love with salt water, but banned myself from buying more fabric (and yarn).. So a voucher would be great!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the anniversary! VH is my go to shop - I love pretty much everything in there, but right now it would have to be Pearl Bracelets :)
ReplyDeleteHappy blogversary, I would have commented ages ago that I have been lost in the lovely pages Of the village haberdashery Website I think I would have to have the build a bundle Chicopee
ReplyDeleteCongrats. I have a small addiction to any and all things textile so frankly I think I would just splurge on some solids. I always buy prints and then scramble to find matching/complementary solids so this time I will work in reverse. Good luck for the next year.
ReplyDeleteZoe
Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the arrival of 'Comma'!!
Happy Blogversary and congratulations on such a great year. I love your blog - your double entendres make me laugh! I like the Banksia Weave, and AMH's Feathers in denim.
ReplyDeleteHappy bloggy birthday! It's been a pleasure having long winded email chats with you over the last year (and being completely inspired by your awesomeness!) I would have to be a sheep and go for the pearl bracelets I don't already have ;o) xx
ReplyDeleteHappy Bloggiversary
ReplyDeleteI dare not go and visit Annie's amazing shop today {after yesterday's spending splurge}. I could buy everything there.
But if I won this fab giveaway, I would stock up on those amazing perle cottons she has.
Thanks for the chance to win.
I'm so glad to have made your acquaintance, medear.
Congratulations on one year, may there be many more.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful trip to Quiltcon, can't wait to read your reports!
If I won I think I'd be tempted by patterns, as I have plenty of fabric stashed away, maybe the washi dress (although I need to buy fabric to make the dress) or a Green Bee quilt pattern - thanks for the chance.
Congratulations on your bloggiversary and thanks for the giveaway. I already have some Pearl Bracelets but I wouldn't mind some Constellations to go with them! R x
ReplyDeleteYou've had a crazy year indeed!
ReplyDeleteI dont have any pearl bracelet, still lusting.
You rock the double entendres..don't ever apologise for that!
xx
Happy anniversary :). I would chose the Kei honeycomb bundle as I need more dottiness in my life.....
ReplyDeleteDamn you for sending me over to look - I'm on a fabric diet but if I cracked it might be the Lucky Penny.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe its only been a year. I feel like I've known you forever, in a good way! I'm so glad I've got to know you despite being terribly jealous you are going to Quiltcon I hope you have a fantastic time.
Congrats on your bloggiversary xx
Woohoo 1 year over here, Happy Blog Birthday!
ReplyDeleteNo idea what I would choose, too many gorgeous fabrics - I'm always baffled!
Happy 1st Birthday!!! I popped over to have a look at all of the lovely yummy fabrics and patterns and notions but to be honest with you, I only got halfway down the page before I had to wipe the slobber off my laptop. Hopefully I won't win otherwise I'll never choose what to buy :D xx
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary! I would have some more pearl bracelets. I already own a FQ bundle, but I think I might cry when it runs out, so a restock would be fantastic :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary, didn't realise you had something at Quiltcon so good luck with that.
ReplyDeleteYour fabric choice is spot on, I sure could do with those blues in my stash.
Congratulations on one year of blogging! It has been a busy year for you - looking forward to seeing you and your quilts in Austin :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogging Birthday and congatulations on having your quilt displayed in such auspicious surroundings. If I was to wind the voucher I'd get myself some Constellations I particuarly love the moon phase dots.
ReplyDeleteHappy bloggy birthday!! Annie's got so many lovely fabrics! I think I'd choose some 'Luxe in Bloom', it's gorgeous! Or maybe as much of the Architextures 'Scribble Notes' as I could manage! Or maybe Pearl Bracelets...
ReplyDeleteIf we don't see you before you go, have a great time at Quilt Con and don't forget to get lots of photos of your quilts with their ribbons attached!
Oooh Happy bloggy birthday! You have had a bloody amazing year of it, havent you! So pleased for you that you're going to see your quilt ON SHOW... take photys for us poor sods back home ;-) What would I get from Annies? Couldnt possibly tell you right now but you can bet your ass I'd spend a good few hours compiling my own bundle and love every minute of it :-) xxx
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogday :) If it were I, I would choose the Masai Mara set - I think the Boy child would be appreciative of some 'manly' fabrics for a new quilt. Plus that way, there is a bit left over for some wool for me too.
ReplyDeletePS - I think I may have to have a go at some free-machine quilting. Soon.
Well, happy blogiversary! It's been a treat to read and see, and your double entendres often cause a chuckle, so have-at-it! I'm looking forward to more :)
ReplyDeleteHappy bloggiversary! Alas, I'm all hooped out for the day, too many decisions on the last day in the current job that are nothing to do with drink or cakes!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogday to you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fab giveaway - I would get some of the AMH voile for dressmaking ... yum x
Congratulations! I need more solids, but then I saw the Deer Head ribbon - I would buy all of it. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy first bloggaversary! Cos I'm obsessing about triangles at the mo' I'm going to have to say - Constellations - Supernova in Black, is my favourite. And those Kona solids, for me everyone every day of the week:)
ReplyDeleteps. well done for all your achievements over the past year:)You have done loads!!
DeleteHappy blogiversary Charlotte - it is lovely to have you in this squidgy quilt and cushion (pillow) covered corner of blogland. Thanks for an amazing giveaway - I love Annie too and could devour most of the shop!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday blog! And happy blogiversary Charlotte.
ReplyDeleteIt's been lovly meeting you this year (both "meeting" and meeting, lol).
As I think you're aware, the question for me would more appropriately be what wouldn't I buy at Annies :)
Congratulations on your blogiversary!!! What a wonderful giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy mind has change at least 10 times over what I would spend a voucher on but I think it would be Salt Water or Architextures or maybe a stash builder in turquoise!!
Happy First Blog Birthday!! I got the chance to go gawk at The Village Haberdashery in real life in early January. They weren't open at the time :( but I did steam up the window, a fair bit, goggling at all the amazing fabric! And the tower of embroidery threads!! It would be hard to resist a bundle of Constellations :) x
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary! Joining in the Pervalong was so much fun - thank you for being awesome and sharing the love.
ReplyDelete(I agree about the Salt Water fabrics - I can't get enough of them!)
Congrats on your blog birthday! I have enjoyed following your blog.:) Great giveaway and I think the fabrics that call my name are the Splendor 1920 collection, esp. the English Garden in Feisty--wow!
ReplyDeleteSorry to be predictable but I'd probably get the Salt Water bundle too - or maybe I'd get lots of gorgeous Aurifil.
ReplyDeletewoo hoo! Happy bloggiversary - what a fantastic year! :)
ReplyDeleteI'd have everything from Annie's shop!
Congratulations on your blogaverary! And what a year it's been! It's been so difficult to choose just one thing, I think I'd have to order lots, annie is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary - I've only just started following your blog but love it already! Having had a peak at VH I would choose one of the Field Study bundles I think - although I'd probably agonise for hours!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I have admired the pearl braclets so long!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on one year! I am loving her stash basics blenders!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations :-) What a happy milestone. I love the online sewing community and count my blessings for falling into it myself. You, your blog, and lovely sewing are certainly one of those blessings!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! found your lovely blog via SelfSewn. Like you, I am short, but with a tall and patient husband. I would choose some yarn to knit him a jumper [cos he has been wonderful as I convalesce after knee surgery] blessings xx
ReplyDeleteMissed you at Retreat ! Darn it but it has been great getting to know you Charlotte! Glad you persuaded me to brave LMQG! I'd have to go Pear Bracelets, or some Tula!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! Fab giveaway - I'd spend hours deciding, although the Simpatico build a bundle is calling my name ...
ReplyDeleteYou are very kind. I would choose Crabtastic Build a Bundle or Pearl Bracelets.
ReplyDeleteI just love the name of that shop! So glad you are here with your writing and your making and your double entendres.
ReplyDeleteHello, I have just foound your blog via your placemat tutorial, so If I were the lucky winner, I would get the materials to make those, and because I have no fabric stash, some interesting yellow-based bits for the circles. From a new reader.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogaversary! I love the work you've done over the last year. Thanks for blogging and sharing your talents with us!
ReplyDeleteNo way? One year?

I've enjoyed reading your blog. Keep it up! This prize would be great for when I'm heading over to London for my sisters wedding. AMHs voile would be lovely.

ReplyDeleteHappy Blog Birthday! Too many nice things to choose from but I'm sure I could pick something.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your blogging anniversary. It has been a pleasure for me to read your blog and to see what you are creating!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blog Anniversary! I love the Village haberdashery - right now I am loving either Tula Pink's "The Birds and the Bees" or Patty Sloeniger's "Les Amis".
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your blog anniversary! I would save the $$ till Gilmma was in and then buy it. Looking forward to seeing your quilts and you in Austin.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and thank you!
ReplyDeleteI would definitely buy yarn. Not sure which as I have looked half a dozen times and made a different choice each time! But definitely yarn...

Happy Blogoversary! I'm so glad I got to be at least a teensy part of your year in Houston and found out that we are birthday twins. And now I'm a follower!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the blogging anniversary, I thought you'd been at this game much longer! Slightly miffed about the giveaway as I spent the best part of £25 at VH yesterday! Still, I'm sure I still 'need' some more Architextures... Enjoy QuiltCon and take lots of pics so we can do a bit of vicarious living ;)
ReplyDeleteA year, really, where the hell has that gone then?! Hope you have a fab time away, much deserved but I'm still a little jealous! I'd just have to get some pearl bracelets, my stash is so bare and they'd help pep it up :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy bloggy-versary! I was so pleased when you came back to blogging again!
ReplyDeleteHmm and what would I buy if I won ... very difficult, but maybe pure leaves and stamen stripe. Or Salt Water bubble shells and sea debris.
well done for entertaining us for the past year. I may have to go on a voile frenzy if I won
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Sounds like a great year :) I'd be eyeing up a Marmalade charm pack, or of course some of the pearl bracelets.
