The other day when I posted about my lamentably small Denyse Schmidt fabric collection the lovely Marit offered to send me a couple of strips to fill in the gaps in my orange/yellow selection. This quickly mutated into a proper scrap swap, and I had a good old rummage through my fabric picking out all sorts of bits that I thought would be useful for Marit to use in her planned 2.5 inch scrap quilt.
So I packaged it all up reasonably neatly (I ironed it all and everything!) and sent it off to Norway, and two days later got the most incredible parcel in return. There were the promised DS strips (including bits of the original Flea Market Fancy!) and also the most wonderfully colour-coordinated and extremely generous cuts of Anna Maria Horner yumminess. And look how beautifully presented they all are – I am ashamed of my random stacks.
I can only hope that the addition of teeny ricrac will make up for my untidiness. Thanks for a fantastic swap, Marit!

Good swap ladies. I hope that you both enjoy your new fabric. Di x
ReplyDeleteswap swap swap! hahaha - after reading your post title that's all that was going through my head. And I think you are okay - you put them in size specific bundles, tied them up all nicely with cute different colored ribbons - you did good. You could have been an ass and chucked them all in a hefty bag and said "have fun sorting this out!" See? Bright side to everything :-) Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteFab swap! Think you both got great packages.
ReplyDeleteMarit did know you have the most enormous hoard of DS in the world didn't she!?
