Hello, my name is Charlotte

And I am going to QuiltCon!

Here I am:
I'm the one on the left

And here are five things about me:

1. I am a Brit and live in London.
2. I have three kids (12, 10 and 6) who spend half their time living with me and the other half with their father.
3. I am quite short but luckily have a very tall and patient husband.
4. I have the mind and mouth of a twelve-year-old boy. If you say something that is even remotely smutty then it's fair game. I do try to rein this in when I am in nice company.
5. My realjob is editing scientific journals. I like it, but would drop it like a stone if I won the lottery.

I'm volunteering on the registration desk some of the time, so pop by and say hello!

  1. I'm a Brit and I also agree with your numbers 3 and 4. Do you think it's something about us short Brits that we have an uncontrollable urge to giggle at things people say that COULD be rude?

  2. Well I'm another short arse with a juvenile mind. There just might be a link.

  4. I'm with all of you "ladies", I always giggle at naughty things that others wouldn't even think twice about! I also try to rein it in, but give me a glass of wine, and I cant control it, sorry! : )

  12. Damnit, you clarified who you were in the photo... I'm an oversized lump with a juvenile mind, maybe it's a Brit thing (or maybe just my mostly-male colleagues)

  22. Charlotte, wish I could say that I was going to! Unfortunately between vet bills and having to buy a new sewing machine and printer in January, I am sad to say I will not be there. Here's hoping for next year!

  24. Great photo! V v v exciting re QuiltCon (although what's your excuse this time Charlotte - Quilt Market was allegedly a 40th treat so it can't be your birthday again yet ... I put it to you that this is just gratuitous quilting indulgence!). I didn't realise Quiltcon was so soon - eek exciting! PS your puppy is seriously cute x

  26. Hi Charlotte, I giggle at the most inappropriate times at words that should not be funny but just are. I too will be spending some time on the registration desk (Wednesday afternoon from memory). I look forward to meeting you in Austin and am glad to know someone else will have ridiculous jet lag (being tired makes me laugh like a hyena, often ending with a snort! which is always interesting when meeting new people). I look forward to meeting you soon. Jules
