I'm currently a member of two bees, and seem to have accidentally signed up for another (fortunately only starting in January). Not quite sure what I was thinking, but hey ho. I'll panic about it nearer the time.
In the Kinky Bee, Ann asked for converging corners blocks in aqua and lime. I've been wanting to try this block so it was great to have an excuse to make a couple. Having done so though I am not sure I would want to make a whole quilts worth. I'm just way too lazy for log cabins!
Laura is the quilter this month in the Happiness circle of do.Good stitches, and she called for wonky stars with I-spy middles, in orange, blue, green and grey. I just have to point out the miraculous fact that my blue number fabric is all facing the same way. It's a small victory, but a victory nonetheless.
And while I was about it I sewed up a couple of moustache blocks for Danielle's "Can't grow a mo, sew a mo" charity quilt. These crack me up - I love the idea of a whole quilt of moustaches. Hilarious.
It feels good to be all up to date. It won't last, of course, but I'll take what I can get.

Oh you are on a role! Loving the converging corners but have to admit that log cabins do my head in. For a simple block they always seem to take forever and use way more fabric than expected.
ReplyDeleteOh pretty pretty blocks!
ReplyDeleteBeing up to date - how does that feel? One day I may find out.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks fantabulous. Caught up? Wow! I haven't even received the Kinky Bee fabrics yet!
ReplyDeleteGreat bee blocks! I'm with you - log cabins aren't my favourite. I don't mind doing one or two but a whole quilt? No thanks!
ReplyDeleteSo impressed with all your number fabric lining up the same way. Very sweet wonky stars!
Love them all! I want to do those converging corners at some point, simply because I think it would be a nice, mindless quilt to create lol
ReplyDeleteLovely blocks. I must crack on with Ann's blocks - I ate the chocolate she sent with the fabric the day it arrived, does that count towards being up to date?
ReplyDeleteLove the aqua lime colors. I've got a quilt planned with similar colors. The blocks all look great.
ReplyDeleteI love your CC blocks and the fabrics in all the blocks are so gorgeous! Love the droopy moustache especially!
ReplyDeleteYou are terrible - so organised you put me to shame! Great blocks - love your mo's!
ReplyDeletethe mos are brilliant! Would love to see that finished quilt!
ReplyDeleteam VERY impressed that your numbers are all facing the same way...it didn't go un-noticed ;-)
Lovely bee blocks :-)
ReplyDeleteI know I'm terribly late, but I did enjoy this post just now! Your numbers fabric all going in the same direction and feeling like a small miracle - I know just the feeling.
