its terrific, I like the way it radiates out of the red square, and its great that you didn't feel the need to over quilt it- its just perfect! Enter it into Quiltcon, what's the worst that can happen??
Oh LOVE! That red quilting radiating out from the red square is perfection - and the texture of the neutral part looks amazing (I'd love to see/touch it!) So, so worthy of entering in quiltcon.
I would be the stats gal, not my husband who I didn't know was logged in. Although I did infected him with my love of statistics and he now knows more than I do. :)
I love the way bright colors pop off of the low-volume neutrals. This really reaffirms that I'm heading in the right direction with my hexie quilt. I am in love woth the bit of red handquilting. It is the perfect unifying touch!
this is beyond awesome, Charlotte, in every way! I bought some neutral and orange Konas recently in the hope of doing something like this, but now i won't bother and will just stare hopelessly at this instead! x
I've been reading back through your posts, and had to say how much I ♥ this little quilt. Specially I love the subtle colours (Oakshott = drool!) and the single spark of red (b/c red, j'adore!). I love the hint of red in the quilting too, and the way the lines radiate out. Also, such *tiny* stitches you make! As another said, I could enjoy this for hours. Hazle
