A bee virgin no longer
I got my first package for the FQR Kinky Bee in the post yesterday. Linda asked for wonky improv log cabin blocks in gorgeous Flea Market Fancy. These were great fun to sew, but I hope that I didn't go overboard on the wonk. This is my first bee and I am a bit nervous!
It's my best friend's birthday tomorrow (I'm pretty sure she doesn't read this, but if I'm wrong then LOOK AWAY NOW!!!!!!), so I stitched up this little frame purse with some linen and scraps. It was great fun to put together, especially since I had got my little mitts on the correct glue. Blimey, that makes things a lot easier.
It's possible that there might be cake, but that's a rumour I can neither confirm nor deny at this point.

DeleteOh... how I love your coin purse! I've made a few of these but have never done one with the flat bottom. It looks so much better and seems like it would hold more! Thanks for the inspiration! Lovely blocks, too!
ReplyDeleteI did my blocks yesterday as well - very nervous knowing it is for someone else. I love wonky logs but seconded guessed everything.
