This is the middle section of my touch of yellow quilt. I can't go any further until I get hold of a couple more greys (charcoal, steel and iron. Annie, are you listening?). I am pretty happy with the way it is going so far, and I really want to carry on with it. Not having the fabric available is quite a good thing though because I really am supposed to be working. Really really supposed to be working. Sigh.
In other news, we are getting a puppy. This time last week we had only the vaguest idea that we might one day get a dog. And then this happened:
So we caved. Spectacularly. She is only six weeks old at the moment so we have a bit of time to prepare ourselves (and the back garden) before the onslaught. Seriously though, how cute is she? I challenge any of you to resist!

ok now i'm torn what to comment on first - that awesome looking piecing or that cuter than cute puppy dawg!!! (can't believe you caved in so easily!!!)
ReplyDeleteBelieve me, it wasn't that easy - there were days of nagging and begging..... and that was just me, not to mention what the kids put her through.... ;-)
DeleteYou don't live that far away from me, right? If you ever need a puppy sitted I wholeheartedly volunteer!

DeleteLoving your yellowness. Is this for Sandown? Its going spectacularly well.
ReplyDeleteOh my! that dog is just too cute. Getting a puppy was the best thing we ever did for the children. Dog walks and belly laughs have been the result. #happiness
it is for Sandown, yes. Thank you! I like it so far, but it could still go horribly wrong!
DeleteShe is a very cute pup, and so loving and cuddly. Shame she will get big - I like it when you can cuddle them!
Ha, ha! I knew you'd do it!
ReplyDeleteOh I can resist - but only because we have her hairiness to play with!
ReplyDeleteShe had a bath of sorts today! Wouldn't say she enjoyed it but we will need to work on that!
Great stitching! Nice bit of sunshine just in case you need to supply your own!
I was all set to go on about the gorgeous sewing and then...outta nowhere...puppy! You know how to distract a girl don't you!
ReplyDeletehahahaha! kabam!
DeleteChallenge accepted - have you read all the posts of all the other dog nutters? Good luck with the poop, vom and ruined fabric - fabric money spent on vet's bills... need I go on!?
ReplyDeleteLove the touch of yellow though - that could live here any day!
I'm with Hadley on this one, as cute as the puppy is ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou seem to be obsessed with shades of grey!!!!
Oooh, loving the look of that yellow creation! Cute wee pup, but I'm with Hadders, you can keep their messier side ;o)
ReplyDeleteOh, goodness, I don't know what I like better - the adorable puppy or that mass of yellow goodness. Sorry.. it's probably the yellow goodness. How can I resist yellow improve?
ReplyDeleteVery cute puppy :)
ReplyDeleteLoving the look of your yellow and grey project. But you're right, you do need the darker greys too. Look forward to seeing them added
Love your yellow and hope you get your greys soon..and that puppy? Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove all that yellow, but I think I'm the only one not loving the pup!
ReplyDeleteI think the pup is cute but would never want one!
